Dealing with paper jams - 3

202 Paper Jam Open Rear Door

See the above instructions #5 through #7. If the print media does not move immediately when you pull, stop pulling. Remove the print cartridge, and then pull the print media out (as described above).

While exiting to the standard output bin

Pull the print media straight out. If the print media does not move immediately when you pull, stop pulling. Open the upper front door and pull the print media out (as described in the 201 Jam, steps 1 through 4).

24x Paper Jam Check Tray x

Jams in four areas result in a 24x Paper Jam message, where x represents the tray number where the jam has occurred. To resolve the message, you must clear all print media from the print media path.

If the print media is lying on the incline or wall surface at the front of the tray, pull the print media straight out.

If the print media is in the pass-through area across two trays, pull the print media straight up and out.

Slide the tray back into the support unit.

Note: With this type of jam, there may be another jam under the print cartridge. Remove the cartridge and any jammed print media, and then reinstall the cartridge as shown for 200 jams above.

If jamming recurs, open the printer trays and re-load the paper, as shown above. The paper may be upside down or not seated in the tray correctly. Clear the paper as before, and close the doors.
